Nana Osaki & Nana "Hachi" Komatsu
When you've been into fiction for the majority of your life, you're bound to end up liking a lot of different characters. Exploring the world through narrative was my way of self expression and still is to this day. There are so many, mostly women, that have meant something significant to me over the years, and the purpose of Beloved is to celebrate them. Having a character wall to indicate my interests is a benefit to others but of equal importance to me, because it's something to look at and feel warm fuzzy feelings towards each individual in turn; and that provides a spark to remind me and help me to remember. Most people remember moments in their life through smell, but lacking that, I guess mine is with characters.
I can't make a site for every single character that I like, but I can do this. And why not? Norvrandt is my little corner of the internet. I should fill it with my favourite things.
Making Beloved was on my mind for a while after seeing's Rosy's galaxy of characters. Larissa encouraged this, because girls. In February '25 I was stuck listening to 24/7 roadworks outside my window and the only creative thing I was able to dabble in was making lots of layouts for future projects, and I was running out; there's only so many you can do. I wanted to work on my site for Ashe, but, pft, noise, so gave a concept for Beloved a try. Woops. Now I had to make almost a hundred different images. Beloved was something I could share pretty much immediately once it was done... and it took a decent few days. The list used to be longer. I might even make it so in the future.
Beloved was opened on 23rd February 2025 and was last updated on 2nd May 2025 (Frimelda, Ikuto, Jecht, Jill, Maximilien, Midna, Nina, Ranulf, and Zakuro were added to the wall).

For some characters, I chose to write a little about the origins of my affection and why it is I'm drawn to them. The benefit of this is I can add more over time if I so desire - along with getting to talk about things that I like on a much smaller scale, particularly for characters I am unlikely to ever make a future tribute for. The usual suspects are here too, though!All additional pages are linked in situ if you hover over a character's respective portrait, but to save you and myself from having to check every single one, here is a text based list. Credits
Beloved's layout was coded and designed by me in Notepad and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. Textures and backgrounds are from Chambertin and subtlepatterns. Fonts used are Poppins and Text Me One and are sourced directly from Google Fonts. The visible text when hovering over images was something I was pretty sure I could achieve with CSS, but it was this tutorial on GeekGirlLife which helped me to initially succeed and do so again.Beloved © Rems 2025.
